LakeCloud is free to join. Your account gives you access to courses, Lakeside Metaverse, and the community.
Go to lakecloud.ai and click the Join LakeCloud for Free button in the top navigation bar, or visit lakecloud.ai/register directly.
Enter your details — your first name, last name, email address, and a password of your choosing.
Submit the form — you will receive an email to verify your account. Please check your spam folder and add LakeCloud.ai to your approved emails.
Check your inbox for an email from LakeCloud. The subject line will be something like "Verify your LakeCloud account."
Copy the 6-digit code from the email and paste or type it into the verification field on the screen.
Click Verify — your account is confirmed and you are signed in automatically.
Didn't receive the code? Check your spam/junk folder. If it's not there, you can request a new code by clicking "Resend verification email" on the verification screen. The code expires after 10 minutes.
Click Sign In at the top right of any LakeCloud page.
Enter your username or email and password and click Sign In.
For security, you will receive a one-time code to your email. Go to your inbox and enter the code to complete sign-in.
You are taken directly to your personal dashboard where you can see your courses, progress, and community access.
The LakeCloud Intro to Trauma course is a powerful introduction to understanding trauma, the brain, and how adversity shapes human behavior. The course is an excellent foundation for all advanced programs and is required to join the LakeCloud Community.
Once signed in, click Education in the top navigation bar, or from the menu on the top right of the header.
If you have not yet enrolled, select Available Courses and click Learn More under Intro to Trauma.
Click the Enroll button on the course page. Your enrollment is confirmed instantly.
LakeCloud's Immersive Learning Platform is Lakeside Metaverse. Lakeside Metaverse is available on Windows and Mac desktops or laptops and on Meta Quest VR headsets. Choose the option that fits your setup — both provide the full immersive experience.
Before you access Lakeside Metaverse, you'll be prompted to update your profile and select your avatar. Please select Profile and complete the form.
Click the Access Lakeside Metaverse button on your Student Dashboard.
Follow the download and installation instructions for Windows or Mac Desktop or Laptop, or put on your Meta Quest 3 VR headset and open the Meta Horizon Store to download the Lakeside Metaverse app.
Open the Lakeside Metaverse application and login with your username and the OTP access code visible on the “Access Lakeside Metaverse” page. This is an important security mechanism to ensure that only you can login.
Everything you complete inside Lakeside Metaverse is automatically tracked in your LakeCloud web portal. You never lose your progress — even if you switch between desktop and VR.
To view your progress: Sign in at lakecloud.ai, then select Education from the top navigation bar or the right header menu and select your course.
Your central hub — shows all your enrolled courses, current progress percentages, and quick links to resume where you left off. Visit it at any time from the top navigation.
Each lesson inside Lakeside Metaverse is tracked individually. A lesson is marked complete when you finish all its activities — readings, videos, quizzes, and reflections.
Each course displays an overall progress percentage on your dashboard. You can see at a glance how far along you are and how many lessons remain.
When you complete a full course, a digital badge or certificate is generated and available to download from your dashboard.
You are automatically enrolled in the LakeCloud community after completing a course. Start with an introductory post and navigate the various options to learn more and engage with the community.
Join topic-focused Spaces — from trauma and parenting to professional development and wellbeing. Share posts, ask questions, and engage in conversations.
Browse the member directory to find and connect with other learners, experts, and community leaders across the LakeCloud community.
Attend live online events, Q&A sessions, and expert-led discussions hosted within the community.
Send direct messages to other community members or join real-time community chat for quick conversations.
Access a curated library of resources, videos, and supplemental materials that deepen your understanding of trauma-informed practice.
The community includes a dedicated “Ask Diane” page where you can have a live AI-powered conversation with Diane Wagenhals, Director Emeritus of Lakeside Global Institute.
