Behind every Lakeside Metaverse course is the Lakeside Teaching/Learning Sequence — a paired model developed by Diane Wagenhals and refined over decades of Lakeside's work in mental health education.
The sequence moves educator and learner together, in step. Each concept is introduced clearly, made relevant, brought to life through example, recognized in the moment, practiced, applied, adapted to real life, and finally internalized so deeply that the learner can teach it to someone else.
When this sequence is delivered through immersive learning — avatars, 3D environments, AI conversations, hands-on activities — it becomes something new: a way of teaching that the brain remembers, and that the learner can actually use.
